Code of conduct

gke-GmbH, as an internationally active company of the medical device industry, has high standards in security, environmental protection, integrity and personnel management and checks and improves these standards continuously.

The following code defines the requirements of our company to all suppliers, service providers and own employees.

Fair and free competition
We acknowledge the principles of free competition, act accordingly and do not accept any anti-trust law agreements with competitors.

No tolerance of corruption
We refuse any kind of corruption or bribery and do not grant any benefits to third parties in connection with our business decisions.

Transparent bookkeeping
We enter our business transactions correctly according to the rules of the local legislation without pretence, deception or falsification of business transactions.

No discrimination
We do not tolerate any discrimination of employees, customers, business partners or third person.

Fair compensation of employees
We do not employ any employees against their explicit will and pay them over the legally defined minimum wage. We treat employees with dignity and respect.

No tolerance of child labour
We strictly follow the requirements of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) regarding the minimum age of employees and do never employ children under 15 years. We also observe that these requirements are followed by all our suppliers and customers.

Compliance with national working time regulations
We respect the maximum weekly working hours of our employees, except in exceptional circumstances. These may not exceed 60 hours per week. Statutory provisions with a lower weekly working time are preferred. We grant our employees at least 24 hours of continuous leisure time per week as well as paid annual vacation according to the legal regulations of the countries where they work.

Consideration of environmental protection
We fulfill all conditions of the applicable environmental laws. We optimize the environmental conditions for our product manufacturing, use energy resources responsibly and pay attention to sustainability (see also “Environment”).

Consideration of health and safety
We observe all legally prescribed occupational safety measures and train our employees accordingly.

Consideration of data protection
We comply with the requirements of the respective national data protection laws and ensure the protection of personal data of employees and business partners (see also Privacy Policy).

Compliance with intellectual property of third parties
We respect and protect the intellectual property of others. Therefore, we do not pass on any proprietary information or business and trade secrets to third parties without authorization and also keep them secret internally. Furthermore, we do not use any information and trade secrets of business partners without their consent.

Selection of suppliers and customers
We also observe the principles set out in this Code of Conduct when selecting our suppliers, service providers and customers and request them to act accordingly.
